Microsoft Azure exam payment error Pakistan: “credit card not available” — fix & workaround
Trying to register for an Azure certification exam on Pearson VUE and seeing: “The credit card payment option is not available for this order. If you need additional information, please contact customer service.” This is the same error that blocks AWS exam payments in Pakistan — and the fix is the same.
Why does this happen for Azure exams?
Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, and others) are all delivered through Pearson VUE — the same platform used for AWS exams. The payment block is at the Pearson VUE level, not Microsoft’s, which is why the same error message appears regardless of which vendor’s exam you are booking.
- Pearson VUE regional restriction: Pakistan is in a restricted zone for direct card payments on Pearson VUE for certain transaction types.
- SBP forex limits: State Bank of Pakistan regulations cap international digital spending, and exam fees fall into this category.
- Bank international e-commerce blocks: Even if your bank allows international transactions, Pearson VUE’s payment processor may still decline Pakistani-issued cards.
Which Azure exams are affected?
All Microsoft Azure certifications on Pearson VUE are affected. The most commonly searched ones in Pakistan:
- AZ-900 — Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (USD 165)
- AZ-104 — Microsoft Azure Administrator (USD 165)
- AZ-204 — Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure (USD 165)
- AZ-305 — Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (USD 165)
- AZ-400 — Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions (USD 165)
- AZ-500 — Microsoft Azure Security Technologies (USD 165)
- AZ-700 — Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions (USD 165)
- AI-900 — Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (USD 165)
- DP-900 — Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals (USD 165)
The fix: use a Pearson VUE exam voucher
A Pearson VUE exam voucher is a prepaid code that covers the full exam fee. When you enter it at checkout, the balance drops to zero and the card payment screen is never shown. This is the official, supported method for candidates who cannot pay by card.
Voucher Paisa sells official Pearson VUE voucher codes for Microsoft Azure and AWS exams in PKR. Pay locally via JazzCash, EasyPaisa, or bank transfer — no international card required.
How to book your Azure exam without a credit card
Receive your code
After payment is verified, we email your official Pearson VUE voucher code. Typically within one business day, often the same day during working hours.
Redeem on Pearson VUE
Sign in to Pearson VUE, select your Azure exam and test centre, and enter your voucher code at checkout. The balance goes to zero — no card required.
FAQ: Azure exam payment error Pakistan
Is this error specific to Azure or does it affect all Pearson VUE exams?
It affects all Pearson VUE exams in Pakistan — AWS, Azure, CompTIA, PMI, and others. The block is at the Pearson VUE payment level, not specific to any one vendor. See our general Pearson VUE credit card error guide for the full picture.
Can I pay for Azure exams through the Microsoft Learn portal instead of Pearson VUE?
Microsoft Learn links you to Pearson VUE for scheduling and payment. The payment is ultimately processed by Pearson VUE, so the same regional restriction applies regardless of which portal you start from.
